Our Story: Inspired by Love, Rooted in Family
I’m Jen - mom, maker, and the heart behind Loyal & Elvie. This brand was born from two places: the legacy of my grandparents, Loyal and Elvie Eitzmann, and the reality of raising kids in a world where screens are everywhere and parents are stretched thin.
Loyal & Elvie is my way of bringing back something my grandparents gave so effortlessly: connection, creativity, and the kind of presence that turns ordinary moments into memories. They raised four boys on a Nebraska farm in the ’60s and ’70s, long before anyone was worrying about “screen time.” Their home was tiny, loud, full of cousins, card games, and the kind of resourcefulness that comes from making your own fun. Even now, I think: all this family, all this love — it started with two people.
Fast-forward a few decades, and I’m navigating airports, road trips, restaurants, church pews, sports sidelines, and more — often with two kids, usually solo, and always hoping they won’t turn into “those kids.” (You know the ones. We’ve all been there.) I wanted something to help my kids stay engaged with life, not just a screen. Something that felt beautiful, functional, durable - and that made me feel like a capable, grounded mom instead of a frazzled one.
When I couldn’t find it, I made it.
The Adventurers Carryall is everything I wished I’d had: durable materials, wipeable surfaces, washable inserts, a water bottle holder, and sides that unzip to create a 180-degree play space. It’s a home base for little hands and big imaginations, whether you're 30,000 feet in the air or just trying to get through dinner without resorting to your phone.
At its core, Loyal & Elvie isn’t about picture-perfect parenting. It’s about real families, real kids, and real moments. It’s for the moms who want connection over chaos. For the dads who want to take back car rides. For the kids who are happier when their hands are busy and their minds are exploring.
It’s a brand made for everyday adventures - the beautiful, messy, magical ones.
And if Loyal and Elvie were here, I think they’d smile at that. They’d tell me to be brave, to keep going, and they’d probably also ask why on earth someone would name a business after them. (Depression-era skepticism runs deep.) But I know they’d be proud.
Because this isn’t just a product.
It’s a legacy.
It’s a love story.
It’s a promise that childhood still gets to be imaginative — and parents still get to enjoy the ride.
